Is this program for me?

English Boost is an intensive program teaching in-depth English proficiency in an accelerated time frame. Build your reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills with 25-30 hours of classroom activity weekly. In addition, your weekly schedule will include conversation circles, debates and other interactive learning opportunities to improve your ability to communicate effectively in academic and social contexts. This program is half the duration of the ESL Foundation Program (one term).

The length of the program is determined by your English score:

English Boost - 8 weeks

📘 English proficiency requirements

For January 2023 admission: IELTS 6.0 or Duolingo 100-114 or Wonderlic 11 or above.

For May 2023 admission onwards: IELTS 6.0 or Duolingo 105-115 or 10 or Wonderlic 11 or above.

📅 Program dates based on undergraduate start date

January 2023: 

October 24, 2022 – December 16, 2022 

September 2023: 

March 6, 2023 – April 28, 2023

or

July 4, 2023 – August 25, 2023

January 2024:

October 30, 2023 – December 22, 2023

Pre-English Boost + English Boost - 16 weeks

The Pre-English Boost program is an additional 8 weeks including 20 hours of class per week of blended learning in both in-person and virtual formats. Upon completion, you will start the English Boost (8 weeks).
📘 English proficiency requirements

For January 2023 admission: IELTS 5.5 or Duolingo 90-99 or Wonderlic below 10.

For May 2023 admission onwards: IELTS 5.5 or Duolingo 95-100 or Wonderlic below 10.
