History and Milestones

Uncover the evolution of hair transplant, exploring key historical milestones that have shaped the field.

2. Scalp Anatomy and Physiology

Dive deep into the intricate anatomy and physiology of the scalp, understanding pathophysiology in both males and females.

3. Hair Recovery Therapies

Explore diverse therapies, including Medical, Cosmetic, Surgical, and Regenerative techniques. Learn to incorporate adipose-derived stem cells and platelet-rich plasma for effective hair regrowth.

4. Client Consultation Skills

Develop essential skills to address client inquiries and concerns related to hair loss.

Receive a certificate of proficiency as a hair transplantation assistant upon graduation.

HAIR TRANSPLANT TECHNICIAN TRAINING PROGRAM INC.

  • The admission process of a surgical patient,
  • The process of shaving, marking and measuring the hair density in the donor area with different methods,
  • The designing and marking of the new hairline,
  • The methods of the harvesting process (strip harvesting (FUT) & follicular unit extraction (FUE),
  • The dissecting of the harvested tissue (slivering process),
     
    Cutting the single, double and multiple follicular unit grafts using Meiji 20x, 10x magnification,
     
    The placing of the follicular unit grafts in the hair line, temporal, mid and crown areas,
     
    The monitoring of the patient comfort during the hair transplant process,
     
  • The process of documenting the surgical procedure,
  • The preparation of the patient for discharge,
  • The collection of photographs before, during and after the procedure,
  • The inventory of the hair transplantation practice (medical disposable and non-disposable supplies),
  • The emergency protocols for the hair restoration adverse events, including essential life support (BLS) & use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED), Oxygen administration,
  • Waste management in hair transplant centres.
  • Each graduating student will receive a certificate of proficiency as a hair transplantation assistant and become eligible for job opportunities

Alternatively, those graduating with high honours in their grades could participate in teaching positions within the program and a job position in one of our CPSO-OHPIP approved hair transplant centres.
