ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM FACTS

Duration for each level: 4 weeks

Students who meet the overall required score but have lower band scores will be placed into the level corresponding to their lowest band. For example:

  • Case 1: A student with an overall IELTS score of 5.0, with Listening 5.5, Reading 4.5, Speaking 5.0, and Writing 5.0, will be placed in Level 6.
  • Case 2: A student with an overall TOEFL score of 76, with Listening 20, Reading 20, Speaking 20, and Writing 16, will be placed in Level 7.

Elite College reserves the right to retest students if their English proficiency level does not align with the provided test scores. The college cannot accommodate students with beginner-level English skills in Level 1. To qualify for Level 1, students must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Read, write, and pronounce the alphabet and spell words out loud.
  • Answer basic questions about themselves, their family, and friends.
  • Ask and respond to simple questions about dates, times, and locations.
  • Complete basic personal information form.
  • Understand and use numbers from 1 to 100 in questions and answers.
