NCLEX-RN — the entry-to-practice exam for Registered Nurses in Canada and the United States.
REx-PN — the entry-to-practice exam for Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) in Ontario and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in British Columbia. It replaced the CPNRE in January 2022.
Both exams use computerized adaptive testing (CAT).

What’s the difference between NCLEX-RN and REx-PN?
NCLEX-RN is the licensure exam for Registered Nurses in Canada and the U.S. REx-PN is the entry-to-practice exam for Registered Practical Nurses in Ontario and Licensed Practical Nurses in British Columbia.
What is computerized adaptive testing (CAT)?
Both exams adapt to your answers — the difficulty adjusts as you go, and the exam ends once your ability is confidently measured above or below the passing standard.
