About the Program
Make a Difference Through Food
You’ll build hands-on skills in food preparation, safe food handling, portioning and kitchen teamwork, supporting the menus and dietary needs of the people you serve. Learning by doing means you’ll graduate confident in a real kitchen, not just familiar with the theory. Just as important are the skills that set you apart: clear communication, dependability and confidence working alongside nurses, care aides and managers.
Our supportive learning environment and career coaching, including resume help and interview prep, help you move from classroom to workplace with purpose. Graduates can pursue roles in long-term care, retirement residences, hospitals, schools and child care settings, with room to grow into cook or food service supervisor positions.
